Optium Museum Acrylic is the definitive product as far as glassware is concerned. Its performance is more similar to glass than to acrylic. This state-of-the-art acrylic product guarantees 99% UV protection against fading and it is optically treated. Tru Vue has patented a finishing process that uses Magretron Sputtering technology that it creates a virtually invisible surface. Like most acrylic products, Optium Museum Acrylic weighs half the glass, is anti-reflective and impact-resistant. However, unlike the typical acrylic sheets, Optium Museum Acrylic behaves like glass, with its antistatic and abrasion resistance characteristics.

UV Protection
No glass is comparable to Museum Glass. This superior quality glass offers 99% UV protection against fading damage and it is optically treated with an almost invisible finishing that guarantees an absolute transparency. Tru Vue uses a patented multi-stage finishing process. First of all, an inorganic silica-based finishing that inhibits UV rays is permanently dried on the surface of the glass substrate. Then, using Magnetron Sputtering technology, a few energetically charged layers of metal oxides are deposited on the glass substrate. The result is a safer and more attractive choice for exhibiting any artwork. Moreover, Museum Glass has become even more surprising. Its smoother finishings, without the slightest imperfection, and the recent improvements in treatment, not only increase its durability and simplify cleaning, but also improve all the visual experiences.

Tru Vue UltraVue Glass balances transparency and UV protection. The extraclear, neutral-colored substrate guarantees a very pure optical transparency to improve the brightness of the colors and the contrast levels of all kinds of art, choosing a UV protection of 70%. The transmission of light over 98.5% indicates that there is no chromatic alteration and the anti-reflective surface allows observers to admire every consistency, every brushstroke and every detail without annoying reflections. Transparency with improved clarity is ideal for common projects, perfect for frames that use different layers of passe-partout cardboard and to accentuate the three-dimensional aspects of the display case design. With UltraVue Glass, Tru Vue once again developed the science of displaying works of art.
